EVENTS: We will offer policy, Lincoln-Douglas, and public forum debate (varsity and novice in each); dramatic, humorous, and duo interp; original oratory, extemp, and student congress. NFL rules and time limits will be utilized. LD and PF rounds will be flighted. The policy debate topic is Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its public health assistance to Sub-Saharan Africa. The January/February NFL Lincoln Douglas topic will be debated and the January public forum topic will be used; these topics will be posted on the NFL website and in the Rostrum December 1. Each school may submit up to three pieces of legislation in student congress. Post your legislation on the website by December 18, 2007.
ENTRY LIMITS: Each school may enter a maximum of four teams in each of the debate divisions, five entries in each individual event, and ten congressional competitors. Speakers in the individual events my double enter; no triple entries will be allowed. Students in the debate events and student congress may not enter another event. Entries will close when we reach our room capacity in each building.
